New kitchen faucet install for client's rental house in New Bedford
Upgrading your bath or kitchen faucets can be fun! There are many reasons why you may want to replace your kitchen or bathroom faucets. Some of these reasons are:
Faucet internal o-rings/seals no longer seal in water thus are leaky
Faucet internals are clogged with mineral deposits which cause low water pressure
Improved water saver aerators are better at saving water in newer faucets
Going with a new updated style or finish in a new faucet to transform your space
Often times, my clients experience problems with kitchen and bathroom faucet water pressure where they believe the problem lies within their water pipes. Sometimes, this is true. New England in general experiences what they call "hard water" where calcium and lime can cause water pipes to clog up with "crud". Sometimes, this problem can be cured temporarily by clearing out the calcium build up on pipes but sometimes, enough calcium build up may have made it to internal parts of faucets where it would also cause water pressure problems within the faucets themselves. The solution in thoses cases would be to replace the faucets. You can try to take apart a faucet to clear it out but often times, these faucets are so old that they would need o-ring and gasket replacements during the process and finding the correct sized o-rings/gaskets can be a difficult task. the easiest solution is to just replace your faucet. The benefit is that you can upgrde your faucets with nice shiny news ones in the style you prefer thus adding some value to your space.
